Washington's Blend (Wholly Kaw) abundant floral
It's fun from time to time to visit an old pot of soap just to see how far some artisans have progressed. Wholly Kaw sent me this sample of Washington's Blend two years ago. At first I was really impressed. It made an especially slick lather. But compared to WK's current donkey milk formula, this older tallow soap makes a lather that is considerably lighter and coarser grained. It gets the job done, but the Wow! just isn't there.
The scent, too, seems sort of old fashioned. It's a rich floral aroma that fifty years ago would have perfectly suited a powder room hung with red velvet wallpaper.
