Old Grey Bristle Test (Nanny's Silly Soap)
This soap used to be called Bergamot & Coriander, which is exactly what it smells like. I don't know why the name was changed, I suppose to add a little mystery to what after all is a fairly plain scent. If you do much cooking, you'll immediately recognize coriander as the backbone of many curry powders. A little earthy, a little lemony, it pairs well with citrus notes to make a bright, spicy accord. Fitjar Islands' Slåtterøy scent is much the same, but with the addition of a pinch of herbs.
Nanny's Signature soaps are all vegetable. Today's light lather left me a bit tight and crisp, but I'm not complaining. It's so hot and muggy here I was thrilled to feel dry, if only for an hour.
