"Smells like a Chinese curio shop," says my wife and passes me the tub. I have to confess she's right. The scent of the paste could be mistaken for a wooden apothecary chest that once held pepper corns, pickle spices, and rubber gaskets. I'm not ashamed to admit that I love it. MT's paste samples don't make as thick a lather as their soap pucks, but their aroma is intense and evocative.
