Wickham Soap Co. 1912 Club Cola
I enjoy Wickham soaps. However, as someone once observed, this one may actually be closer to a certain lemon-lime fizzy drink than a cola. An invigorating scent, nevertheless.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Green Vetiver (Fine Accoutrements) Guerlain Vetiver
Fine doesn't really go out on a limb when it comes to scenting their soaps. They stick to clones of popular fragrances such as Creed Aventus, Aqua di Parma Colonia, Terre d'Hermès, and of course Guerlain Vetiver, the inspiration for today's Green Vetiver. That soap smells, well, fine, but like the modern version of Guerlain Vetiver, it's too mild. To give my lather a little more heft, I added a precious drop of vintage Guerlain Vetiver. Wow! Now that smelled complex, rich, and just fantastic. But even more surprisingly, that little drop of alcohol turned my lather into a dense, thick, cushiony emulsion that was far superior to what I first mixed up in my bowl. I wish I had paid more attention in chemistry to better understand what happened.
