Neroli (Nanny's Silly Soap) orange blossoms

We don't hear much about Nanny, and that's a pity, since she makes good stuff. Today's soap uses her traditional tallow recipe. Though it doesn't offer many surprises, its performance is still very good. Kaolin clay creates slickness, and castor oil makes for a soft finish. The scent is green, sweet, and heavy like a bitter orange grove early one spring morning.
