Best Shave Ever!
Strop: Castle Shave 3” English bridal
Brush: Shavemac 28mm D01 custom
Soap: Wholly Kaw Padre Leone
Razors: 2 7/8 W&B Barbers Rattlers with custom Buckeye scales
Bowl: Castle Shave lather bowl
Aftershave: Padre Leone
Amazing Soap! Such an easily lovable scent. He scents are mild and perfect for the summer. The Rattlers were just picked up today from a new acquaintance with a remarkable collection! Had a great long chat about different razors and honing techniques which is why I had both Rattlers out. One had an Escher edge and the other a Coticule edge, they were very sharp but both comfortable. I always enjoy trying other people’s edges to compare to my own. Performance of wholly Kaw never lets me down! Think I could have comfortable done a 3 pass shave on 2 others with what was left over. Residual slickness never fails! And the scents are nearly impossible to not like. Simple but different at the same time nothing over the top and very similar in away to an MDC soap. Which I now have a sample of thanks to him!

Vetiver & Oakmoss (Mystic Water) ★★★★★
Earthy vetiver and acrid oakmoss go together well. They're usually dressed up with some citrus and spice, but the scent of this soap is just a simple, casual combination of these two basenotes. I get a grassy, earthy vibe that reminds me of an old lawnmower shed. It smells like summer.
For me, a stiff boar brush loaded beyond its capacity is needed to make a lather on the puck. I go easy with the water at first. Given a little time and care, this soap churns out a dense emulsion that protects the skin during the shave and then moisturizes it so deeply that fourteen hours after the blade work is done, my chin still feels like it's just been shorn.
