Felce Aromatica (Saponificio Varesino) ★★★★★ light green fougère
This is a modern, light interpretation of the aromatic fougère. Think of it as a sun-bleached cousin of one of those powerhouse colognes from decades long past, Drakkar Noir, Azzaro pour homme, Paco Rabanne pour homme, or Fabergé Brut. Felce Aromatica is far cleaner than these fragrances, playing up its herbal green notes, and surprisingly, leaving out altogether the coumarin and oak moss that give old fashioned fougères so much heft. It's not disappointing in the slightest. In fact, it's a soap and a scent I could enjoy every day of the year, though I save it mostly for the summer months when its citrus, fir, and ginger notes are especially refreshing.
