A shave with this cream is admittedly neither close nor comfortable, but the scent – that otherworldly combination of currant and oak moss – lures me to squeeze this tube at least once every six months.

Based on what I’ve read, the hard soap is even worse when it comes to lathering and shaving. But the scent … that’s the reason this is still on my shopping list. Perhaps I should aim for the cologne?

Matsilainen: The cologne might be the best way to get to know this fragrance. Both the soap and the cream leave a lot to be desired in terms of shaving satisfaction, but in spite of their feeble lathers, they sure smell good. You may want to order a small sample of the edt before you binge on a whole bottle. The scent is ... well ... distinctive, but worth get acquainted with.

Tundra Artica (Saponificio Varesino) oud & rose & cranberries (?)

Take a deep breath of the soap, all the while imagining you're in New England, and you can almost smell the cranberries.

Wholly Kaw Dark Vetiver Nice reminder of how good WK's original soap base is. This one could use a bit more vetiver but its a very nice soap.
