Mirto di Sardegna (Saponificio Varesino) lime peel & flowers
Saponificio Varesino's latest soap works just as well as all the others it has made, and it smells just as good, too. Lime peel is the dominant note, but there are some flowers tucked in as well, and there may be just a dab of vetiver rattling around the bottom. It's not nearly as bold as Stella Alpina, but it's a nice springy scent
I must be sensitive to something in SV's paper packaging. The first time I use a soap that comes in one of their cardboard boxes, my face is freckled with red dots that linger for about forty minutes. But every shave after that is as mild and easy as I could ever hope, without even the slightest trace of irritation. I suspect there's something in the paper that gets under my skin, because this doesn't happen with their soaps that are sold in aluminium tins. At any rate, after just one shave, the irritant disappears and I'm left with with a soap that offers an excellent shave and a fantastic finish.
