Used to be one of my favorite scents however the last time I used it I developed a GI bug later that day with severe nausea. Now the scent is associated wit nausea. Think I’m going to have to get rid of this stuff. What a shame.
It’s a shame when something like this happens. You could always put the soap away for a few months and see how you feel about it later, but scent associations can be quite strong and persistent…

The scent of a Christmas tree, backed up by berries and a minty sensation. With great lather to boot, what’s not to love?!

basique (Grooming Dept) sawdust

The scent of basique is inspired by Comme des Garçon's Wonderwood fragrance. The two are a close match, but honestly, I think the soap smells better than the perfume. It's deeper and smoother. In fact, the soap's sharp, dry spicy aroma pairs nicely with Hermès Vetiver Tonka, one of my favorite vetiver scents. The puck, on the other hand, has dried and hardened since I started it last June. Still, I'm burning through it. With luck this tub will yield about 30 shaves. Reckoning the cost for each lathering, this isn't my most expensive soap, but it's close to the top, both in terms of pennies and performance.
