Happy new year DFS! Today's soap was a kind of a 'super duper' lather, something that I rarely do except to mix fragrances. Most of the time, super lathers are not so super, they are made to compensate for one of the soap's deficiencies, but not so today. I had a bit of ABC left in my lather bowl from yesterday, and not wanting to just throw away usable ABC, I decided to put some AdP on top of it and lather away with a very white and dense Simpsons 58.
Well I was pleasantly surprised, the lather was very creamy, did not dissipate at all, and felt wonderful. There was of course no deficiency in either soap for which to compensate, I was just trying to use all of the great soap that I had in the bowl - and I still have a small bit of ABC left! Anyway, the result was magnificent. A King Pelican 14 Western (folding) symmetrical kamisori had the honor of scraping that wonderful lather off my unworthy face. BTW, the razor is pristine, the patterns are reflections.
Cheers, Steve
