Le Grand Chypre (Barrister & Man) fruity chypre
The lemon and lime trees are starting to bear fruit, telling me it's time to pull out the citrus soaps. I'll start with Le Grand Chypre. It opens with a tart blast of lime and then settles into resinous labdanum, oak moss, and incense. There's some peachiness in there, too, giving it just a dab of sweetness. It's a pity that the lather gets washed down the drain after only 10 minutes. This scent is clearly going somewhere, and it seems I'm jumping off the train just as we get started.
