The truly wonderful Palmolive shave stick. What a scent!

Oud-Santal (Le Père Lucien) oud & sandalwood

Sometimes the oud is dominant – at other times I smell mostly sandalwood. What’s consistent, though, is the quality of the shave, always close, comfortable, and long lasting. How it manages this is a mystery. The lather isn’t that impressive. It reminds me more of a meringue than a curd. But in spite of its lightness, Oud-Santal gives good cushion and slip, far better in fact than Cyril’s tallowless soaps.
