Wholly Kaw Tallow | Fougere Bouquet

Today was my first go at Wholly Kaw Tallow. Honestly, I am a sucker for good packaging and label, and that is what attracts me to Wholly Kaw.

Wholly Kaw loads onto my EJ Synthetic XL so fast, I think it was merely around a 10 seconds load, but it feels like around 20 or 30 seconds with other soaps. This is also a very thirsty soaps, but easily to build on face to the consistency that I like, thick and sheen is what I am always looking at the first pass. The slickness and residual slickness was no issue as TR0.95S just glides through my facial hair like nothing. Lastly, the post shave, which is more than adequate I will say.

I need to make another purchase from them in times to come Big Grin

Rose de Pushkar (Le Père Lucien) moldy rose

Cheered by the arrival of a shipment of Parkway jars, I started transferring soaps to the new tubs today. I got to Rose de Pushkar just in time. As I unloaded it from the stainless steel tin it came in, I noticed a bit of mold growing on the sides and bottom of the soap. I didn’t suppose mildew would grow on soap because of its high pH. But what was I thinking? In this warm, wet environment it thrives on just about anything – leather, ceramics, vinyl, concrete – and there was the evidence right before my eyes. I’m going to like these new containers all the more since they are transparent and will let me keep an eye on what’s happening in the tub.
