Cologne Russe (Barrister & Mann)
It might be easier to mention what’s not in this soap's complex millefleur bouquet. I don’t smell anything fishy. But when I take a deep sniff, I get flowers, and herbs, and roots, and leather, and woods, and spice, and citrus, and everything nice. The full spray of aromas doesn’t emerge until you work a little water into the lather. Then it’s bright enough for a summer’s morning and yet has enough ballast not to insult a gloomsome midwinter shave. Sometime’s B&M’s scents get a little wacky, but Cologne Russe is a Fabergé gem.
