After the Rain (L&L Grooming) pine, cedar, pepper
L&L’s scents can be brash, florid affairs that do well with a good airing. After the Rain, though, is different. It’s mild, unassertive, and a pleasure to swab under your nose on a grey winter’s morning. Light, tart cedar notes are grounded with fresh, wet pine and just enough pepper to keep it from smelling like the air freshener your grandmother spritzed in the small room.
The soap performs nicely. It tolerates water well, though I find it works best for me on the dry side. A drop too much makes a slick but filmy lather that slides off my boney cheeks.

With the release of new CRSW line, I have to revisit one of my favourite soap and favourite scent. Though I paired wrongly with a wrong brush. In the end I didn't load enough but the soap still shine and provide me with one memorable shave... A shave without lather on my last pass.
A good shave though, good residual slickness, didn't nick myself or have any issue. Good soap, I will miss it. But I'm sure the new line will be fantastic as well.
