Yesterday - Mystery Soap (La Toja)

I was given a tin of this soap (which I have no idea what it is), and was told to shave with it. The scent is very clean, a scent which I don't mind shaving almost everyday with. The slickness is very good, however let down slightly in the cushion. I was using R41, so both slickness and cushion are important to me. All in all, I got a razor burn under my ear and below my lip. To find out that it is La Toja actually surprise me due to the quality of the soap, as this is a rather cheap stick, but alas, the lather quality didn't hit the mark for me.

Today - Mystic Water Outmeal Stout

My problematic soap, for the first time I decide to use it as a shave stick to see if I actually can get a shavable lather. I did, though it was thin and there were lost of slickness. The scent is amazing, I love this scent so much that even though I was unable to lather off the puck (my preferred way of loading), I still want one around. However this show me that it is possible to get a stable lather from Mystic Water. The post shave is perfect.

Colgate Barber shaving soap (vintage) + Hermès Terre d'Hermès shaving cream. This is an excellent combination, making rich, slick, fragrant lather.
