Warm Woods (Meißner Tremonia) wood & brick
Medieval half-timbered houses, faced partly with brick, built hundreds and hundreds of years ago smell something like this soap. It’s sweet and gentle and just a little spicy like well aged old timber that’s been gathered in from every corner of the earth. Texas cedar, South American palo santo, benzoin from Sumatra, resinous torchwood, Moroccan cedar, and Swiss pine all contribute to the round, welcoming scent of this soap. Brown clay, which accounts for the smell of warm new bricks, gives the lather a slight pinkish hue. A gram of soap built enough lather for three comfortable passes. It finishes a little heavier than the other Meißner Tremonia soaps I’ve tried, but that may be due to the clammy weather that’s been squatting on us all day.
