Himalayan Heights (Meißner Tremonia) lemony cedar & clay
This soap is habit forming. I've spent three days with Himalayan Heights, beguiled as much by its odd scent as its fantastic finish.
Yesterday I was convinced that there must be magnolia oil in this soap giving it a light lemony scent. But a closer look at the ingredients shows that there's only one fragrance oil, deodar cedar. So the lemon note comes either from the citric acid, or it's wrapped up in the cedar oil itself. And what I took, on first whiff, as dust on warm wet concrete is probably just the smell of the talc and kaolin clay listed among the ingredients. I went to Meißner Tremonia's site to double check the scent notes only to find that neither this soap nor the paste is currently listed among its products. Curious. I think I should order one of the unscented versions of this soap just to establish what the soap alone smells. Maybe then I can make better sense of the scents.
Today I used a mere gram of soap to make enough lather for three passes. At that rate, I may not be coming down from the Himalayan heights any time soon.
