Le Grand Chypre (Barrister & Mann) lime, frankincense, labdanum, oak moss, cedar
This soap reminds me of the latest formulation of Guerlain’s legendary Mitsouko. Released in 1919, Mitsouko was of the earliest chypres, and even in its current, slightly altered version, it’s still one of the most perfect fragrances ever bottled, balancing bergamot, labdanum, and oak moss around a shared resinous note. The biggest difference between that classic perfume and Barrister & Mann's Le Grand Chypre is that Will has replaced Mitsouko’s delicate jasmine with thick wedge of lime, thus making a somewhat feminine fragrance smell great on a man.

Clubman - I bought a tub of this soap when it first came out. After all the negative reviews saying it did not smell anything like the AS it sat on my dresser for over a year. In the past couple of months I have used it 3 times. This is a great soap! Easy to lather, extremely slick & protective. I really like it and it does pair well with Clubman AS.
