Cade Shaving Soap (L’Occitane en Provence) cade & cold cream
(Day 3) — I’ve transferred this soap to an acacia bowl, which has a sweet woody aroma of its own. There’s no lid, so the soap has a chance to dry thoroughly between uses. What I’ve found, though, is that Cade doesn’t ever dry out solid. It remains surprisingly soft even after having been uncorked for months. This is due, I suppose, to the generous portion of cold cream that makes up the base. Its creamy scent persists long after the sharp smell of cade and sandalwood have begun to fade. With luck the soap will absorb some of the acacia’s scent so it won’t entirely lose its spark.
