Just got mine as well Bluegrass. I get no fig or coconut off the puck either. Not sure about what it smells like. I too will shave with it this weekend.

I’m going to be candid - I have no idea how to describe easily what it smells like other than “cologne”.  To me I detect no Fig or Coconut.  I hold GD’s Coconut Rum scent as really good and accurate, my favorite scent of his.  This one is a pure head scratch from a scent profile.

Alive – Mammoth Soaps

Alive opens with top notes of bergamot, green apple, and basil before transitioning into soapy white floral with powdery labdanum and fresh plant stem, then finishes in oakmoss, wood, and laundry musk.  — HOM

Gentleman's Nod Sir Winston (Bullgoose)

This is a homage to Blenheim Bouquet, a scent associated with Sir Winston Churchill, that Bullgoose commissioned.  The scent is exquisite though I do not know how true to the original it is.  Citrus, lavender, black pepper, and somewhere along the way, a pine note emerges quite beautifully.   All is delivered via Gentleman's Nod most excellent base.  This is my second tub of this soap and, as long as it is sold, I will never be without.

I brought my tub to my PC desk and spent several hours last night periodically giving it a sniff.  The all I could detect was almond and maybe the honey.  Sometimes I'd think I got a whiff of coconut, but when I tried to detect it, I couldn't find it.  In the end though, this scent is excellent.

Shave 8

This is my third consecutive day using Ethos soaps, and my skin is starting to feel great. Unlike other soaps that leave a thick layer of butters and fats after rinsing, Ethos leaves my skin feeling simply fresh and clean. I have fifteen jars of Frank's soaps and plan to rotate through all of them. I’m eager to see how my skin feels in a couple of weeks. If the results so far are any clue, I’m in for some seriously smooth skin.

A phenomenal scent Dragonsbeard  will it come back?

Yes it will be back this year with some additional side - kick products with the same Aroma Blend. It was inspired by my ex- wife who took regular walks in the woods or parks on a daily basis and had an accident and passed away at way to young an age. So it has a special meaning to me so no way it’s not getting made.

This is exactly the type of issue I had with Mallard Pineapple Rum.  I was expecting more pineapple and rum.  I couldn't figure it out.  I finally settled on a rum barrel accord scent with some pineapple lurking in the background, almost a cologne scent.  I too felt the prior year's Coconut Rum Mallard was truer to its name.  I missed on the new Tonka Mallard though I do wonder what reaction I now would have to that one.  OTOH, the Passion Fruit Mousse is right down the pike.  Nothing to complain about with either of the two I purchased but some bewilderment on my part did occur WRT the Pineapple Rum.

Joining the club, it's a really great scent but it's almost like the scents blend together to cancel each other out. But the result is a soap I will use frequently. I will say, that if you like peach, and sweet scents, then Peaches & Cream should definitely be on your bucket list.
