JabonMan loves myrrh. That sweet resin finds a place in many of his oriental fragrances such as Tobacco, Brisa de Oriente, Zanzibar, Kasbah, and today’s Ylang Ylang. To me, myrrh smells like brown bananas, though not as fruity. It’s sweet and woody, and sometimes it reminds me of old buildings thanks to its musty side note. It also has an note that smells like plastic or rubber, although that may be due to another resin, benzoin, which often accompanies myrrh in JabonMan’s creations.
