Clay Face
Honolulu, Hawaii
Bergamotto di Calabria Hard Soap (Abbate y La Mantia) soapy citrus
Shave 11

After four straight shaves with Eufros my face is back in good shape. This camper is happy, but oddly I’m still not entirely satisfied. Eufros is magic. I could use it every day and never have a problem. But where’s the challenge in that? So, I’ve decided to take a different tack. Deep in my heart I want to figure out how to use each of my soaps consistently without pain or irritation. I have ten years of experience and a lot of tools at my disposal. You’d think I could find a winning combination of blade, razor, and brush to handle just about any soap in my stash. As for technique, well, we'll ride the cap and keep it to two light passes, with and across the grain. No pressure at all.

I’ll start with this Bergamotto hard soap for no better reason than it’s the first item in my spreadsheet. And I’ll pair it with a sharp, smooth blade (Bic Chrome Platinum), an ultra-mild razor (Karve CB SB-AA aluminum), and my softest brush (Plisson pour L’Occitane). Let’s see if I can go three straight shaves without doing any damage.

Bluegrass and Neroli, as you fellas know, puck reminiscent of the Tallow Tabac, Valobra, and Fine hard pux. I need to use this more as the scent is very very complex and sophisticated.
