Grooming Dept - Luxor ( Kairos SE base 2023 ). Usual exceptional performance from the Kairos SE base. Scent blended very well with Mandarin, Fruit Accord, Spices, Cedarwood, Sandalwood and Vetiver.  Smile

Laureato (Abbate y La Mantia) lemon laurel
Shave 2 ・ 95% left

Laureato offers a lather with ethereal lightness, distinct from this brand’s other creamier croaps. With the scent of sun-kissed lemon trees, it reminds me of the Amalfi coast. And it requires just a hint of water to conjure up enough lather for three passes and more. Yet, the true triumph in today’s shave lies in the combination of soap and razor. The Vector Ti, loaded with a Feather Soft Guard blade, performs miracles – three flawless close passes without a hint of irritation. Pure bliss.

A note on the blade: the Feather Professional Soft Guard seems to improve with each pass. It started out rough and tuggy, so I put it in the garage for a few weeks. When I pulled the razor out again last Sunday, the blade felt much smoother, especially on the second and third passes. It’s so mild, it seems to struggle with the first pass, but once the big whiskers are knocked down, it glides very easily. And on those days when I’ve gone maybe seventeen hours since my last shave, it’s a delight to use right from the first pass. I can’t say much yet about the lifespan of these thick blades, but I'm on day eight now with my first Soft Guard, and it shows no signs of throwing in the towel.
