Finally...starting to see a small breakthrough at the bottom of the tub.  Should have a full donut hole by tomorrow

Great days shave via Kentucky Rain.  The Owners Club brush seemed like the right choice.

Among all my shaving odds and ends I hold a special reverence for one particular item, a small Japanese shiru-wan (汁椀). Traditionally reserved for miso soup, the shiru-wan is a compact bowl perfectly crafted to nestle within the palm of the diner's hand. It often comes with a lid to retain the fragrance and warmth of the soup. Curiously, its modest dimensions have another benefit: the bowl is just the right size for making lather. Within the shiru-wan’s small confines, the soap and water quickly forge an intimate bond, and the lather materializes with little effort.

After experimenting with a lot of lather bowls, made from all sorts of materials, what seems most important to me now isn't the texture of the bowl. It's the size. Smaller appears to be better.

Razor: Timeless SS .95 OC/Ti Crown Handle

Brush: Fluffy Inds Badger/Boar
Soap: HC&C Year of the Tiger
AS 1: Witch Hazel
AS 2: Rooster's Nest Bourbon Bay Rum
Fragrance:
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,654

Scent notes from the site a dupe of Black Afgano: Top notes are Greens; middle notes are resins, Woodsy Notes, Tobacco and Coffee; base notes are Agarwood (Oud) and Incense.

This seemed a familiar scent to me and I like it but can't place it. Typical grea lather quality even for a bowl lathered sample. The more I use HC&C, the more I wish I found them earlier in my journey before the overload of soaps I have in hand. Have a great day everyone !
