Had more blade feel than I expected but a little skin stretching took care of any chance of nicking myself. MDC Citrus is a pleasant Lemon scent and it always seems like it’s a brand new puck even though it’s like 3 yrs old. Got my brush back from Rudy Vey who put a great knot in the brush and I really like it. I made myself a citrus Non - Alcohol Skin Food Splash as I’m considering adding some down the roadI completely agree. I get some great shaves with MDC, it lasts an eternity. I’ve been using mine for about 6-7 years and have barely made a dent in it.
Great shaves!
Fougère bol en bois (Martin de Candre) classic fougère
Shave 1 ・ 100% left
As I unwrapped a new brain bowl of Martin de Candre Fougère, I was stunned by its odd appearance. Instead of a pristine, alabaster heap of soap, I found a rather unappealing mound that resembled a head of decaying cauliflower. Splotches of tangerine tainted the surface, which I can only assume is the unfortunate consequence of prolonged storage in its wax paper wrapping. Off putting? A bit. Nevertheless, I remain optimistic and look forward to putting it to the test. Perhaps with a few shaves, the soap will turn snowy white.

Is that the heavy acrylic containers most good soaps came in??? If so I did NOT know they had a formal name….rookies, lolHere ya go, Rob!
https://maggardrazors.com/products/petg-...-6oz-empty
Those jars are made of PETG plastic not acrylic and I’m guessing that Maggards may have bought them from a soap maker I know that switched to Parkway plastic jars in an effort to keep prices down. I use Colt to make my 4.5 oz size Shave Soap and Creme jars. My 7.5 oz jars come from France and they are also PETG plastic. Best plastic there is and the closest to glass. Colt went up 25% after Covid and their set up charge also went up 30% so it’s either raise prices a bit or switch. I personally like the quality.
Example: YOUR Dragonsbeard V1 is as fresh today as it was back in June 2019. Of course there’s not much left in my 3rd tub however I have plenty of V2 to keep me in business
Furthermore….the foam inside the lid to keep the material from the air. Know what, I’m going to stop here, I’m not getting banned today for calling out these “Premium Soapers” and their shite Packaging
Keep doing what you’re doing Frank….. your Version 1 DB (that started it all) is a better container than the containers your competitors are putting their poisons in

Best orange, maybe citrus, scent ever
It’s outstanding, no doubt in my mind….. the only thing I can think of other than Will’s Orange is Peter Charkalis A&E L'Orange Verte. Yum, SPICY ORANGE and in K2!
May 4 is National Orange Juice Day, shall we give it a go?
