I first ran across Salters French Vetiver in the now closed Old Town Shaving.  I’d found myself in Pasadena for work so I swung in to this stalwart shop to lay a nose on an item or two and for Pete's sake drag some stuff home.  I think the kid that showed me French Vetiver was trying to show me what stink looked like and was likely surprised when I bought it.  Stink?  Yes, in a very good way.  The only issue I have is the scent fades too quickly.  I suppose if a feller only used one cream he’d get to the bottom before the fade happened but that is not the case for most of us now is it?  This tub is still ripe but just like me, it doesn’t pack the punch it did when it was young.  My brain remembers thought and there is plenty of scent to start the process that my memory fills in.  Not too many more shaves left in this jar and yes, it will be replaced with a new tub.

First, I gotta get my hands on some French Vetiver. Every time I want to add it to an order from somewhere, those are shops that are out of stock.
... Or if I go looking for it directly, those shops don't have anything else that I don't already have/had or that I was interested in adding, so I bail on the whole order (i.e. shipping costs). Some day it will work out though, I know it!

And, the Saturnia... Definitely agree, the scent is unique (no comparables) but familiar (in nature/life) at the same time. And the formula for this soap is unlike any other Razorock... sulphur, olive oil, and shea butter. Ridiculous amount of lather and the skin feels very nice... definitely no dryness or issues.

Cast your eyes on the label and you may find yourself asking: what exactly is this “white musk” I find listed among the scent notes? You may be surprised to learn that it is not, in fact, the musk pod of a rare Himalayan albino deer. No, this intriguing scent is a synthetic fragrance, widely employed in perfumes, cosmetics, and even cleaning products. Its creation is a triumph of modern chemistry, employing a deft combination of natural and synthetic compounds, yet nothing of animal origin. The aroma itself is delicate and refined, evocative of both musk and wood, with a puff of floral sweetness. It may remind you of baby powder, or perhaps of an unsweetened version of Clubman talc.
