Beautiful scent and performance on this new set. The scent is nuanced and so well done in a great soap base. Sandalo is a standout.
These Ethos offerings are the future of artisan, small batch soap making. Many soap cookers make a great base but are still using overpowering fragrance oils. There were some recent well known Christmas releases that gave me a headache.
There are great one’s even from ten years ago. Mike just released his nutty Haitian Vetiver last week for the first time in almost two years, May 2021. I had to jump on that immediately.
Great job Frank, finest in the den.

For last night's shave I used PAA Cavendish, in the original CK formula (sample). What a wonderful scent, BUT also a strange animal!
The scent is a sweet tobacco, that is quite light but absolutely addictive. The oddity, for me at least: Typically sweet / sugary scents fade fast. You would expect the sweetness to recede, leaving a mild tobacco scent. This stuff is the exact opposite. The tobacco notes disappeared (so fast) leaving a sweet cream like scent.
As someone who has a moustache, I am blessed (or, occasionally, cursed) with scents lingering. The soap inevitably gets into my moustache and even with a good washing, it lingers longer than on clean shaved bare skin. So I had hours last night to experience the scent "deterioration", so to speak.
Nonetheless. It is a good soap, a great scent, and a fun shave. Have a good one folks!
