I have been craving an apple scent today so I reached for this banger. I wanted to do a side-by-side on the L3 & L4. Both brushes are excellent.

Shave 1 ・ 107 g left

Sadly, I confirm that the statements made by Lipripper660 about this soap’s performance are accurate. The current formulation of Trumper's hard soap makes for a wretched lathering experience. Its adamantine hardness frustrated even my most ardent attempts at loading. After three-hundred swirls on the puck, the brush had scarcely taken up enough soap to make a wispy lather. It coated my skin with a transparent film that refused to thicken or take water. Only by leveraging my long knowledge of my face was I able to finish one pass before the lather altogether disappeared.

Afterwards, my skin felt tight as if I had been using hand soap. And even though the shave was eventually acceptable, the exertion required to achieve even a piddling lather was hardly worth the effort. It is barbs for the soul brave enough to test its mettle. If you seek a purgatory for sins against cleanliness, Trumper’s hard soap offers an earnest atonement.

Awesome scent. Sub sub par performance without augmenting. It is slick though.

Williams Mug Soap (last version)

All this talk of subpar lather spawned this shave. Don't be fooled by this pic, it didn't hold up on my face. Decent shave but not as protective as my previous couple with it.
