Another banger in the Cabin Series! I needed this beautiful scent on this rainy day in SoCal.

Citrus is simply amazing.  Uplifting and light.  But add some heady rose and earthy patchouli and you end up in the masterpiece realm.  I dig this scent and it lasts a long time!  This afternoon I slapped on some Aqua de Parma to,get that sophisticated citrus blast again. 

Oxford & Cambridge (Czech & Speake) minty lavender

On paper at least, Oxford & Cambridge is an aromatic fougère, crafted from lavender, mint, rosemary, and bergamot. A touch of peppermint lifts the senses, yet still manages to preserve the overall serenity. The refreshing top notes are intertwined with a soft base of oakmoss, but this moss is so light and mellow, it's hardly sniffable. At the end of the day, it may be a stretch to call this a proper fougère. The fragrance was created in 1994 by John Stephen, who also worked on No. 88 and Cuba for Czech & Speake. Over the years it has changed very little. But unfortunately the old tallow soap base made by Valobra has been replaced by a tallow-less reformulation that cannot compare favorably with the original version.

You know more than me on sniff and smells but the way I see it's a soap not the original frag and I imagine many of the base notes are cooked out when the soap is prepared.

Sorry didn't mean to sound snarky. I think I might devote a little too web time in the evenings to frag related things.
