Great to have you back, WeeScott! We've missed you. I hope all is working out well.

Happy shaves!

Bouki

Thank you Sir Bouki. I do have a few new soaps to share and actually some razors as well that are coming up in the rotation. I do use quite a few Euro tube creams and unscented soaps so with the lack of pictures I hope I'm not too much of a bore. I suppose I could skip posting for the most part when they come around but I do like checking in and actually journalizing what I use.

Today it was the Arko Comfort Cream. Nice simple scent.

Mandarino Fumo (Ethos) orange cigarillos
Shave 6 ・ 133 g left

I’m slapping myself for taking two months off from Ethos. That’s right, I haven’t  opened a jar of Frank’s miraculous soap since the beginning of October. My loss. Though I have a lot of fantastic soaps in my hoard, and though I’ve had some very nice shaves these last eight weeks, when I come back to Ethos, I have to wonder why I lather anything else. The emulsion is so perfect, the scents are so clear, and the finish so much finer than any other.

But I have to admit that Mandarino Fumo is a gut shot first thing in the morning. This soap smells strong. That’s why right after I finished the shave, I used my last precious drop of Azemour les Oranges. Its smooth orange top notes coupled with creamy incense took the edge off the shaggy scent of the soap.

Thank you for the kind words Bouki

Mandarino Fumo is a true silage, projection and longevity monster that’s for sure and it’s mostly because of the two Tobacco Absolutes in the Aroma blend . It needs a little fine tuning when I make the next batch. I’ve added some Blood Orange and more Mandarin Orange to the blend and I think it’s right we’re it should be with a bit more citrus shining through but still maintaining it’s Tobacco roots.

Hope all is well with you and yours!
