What soap/cream did you use today?

Great news, Lipripper660. I’m really happy to hear you’re getting your smeller back. Just out of curiosity, what were the first scents you were able to detect?

It was a weird process because When it started to come back things weren’t right.  Mint smelled of gasoline, etc.  I kept some essential oils around to test sniff.  Cedar was the first to return.  Mint next.  Then citrus started to return but surprisingly mandarins showed up before grapefruit.  Lavender is still foggy but getting there.  Vetiver is back but the volume knob is lowered for now.

I like the holiday season and I enjoy this only time of year that I seasonalize soaps. Those are all put away now and I’m glad to be back to whatever whim tickles my fancy.  This morning I realized it’s been way too long since Sir Henrys hit my face and An Affair got the nod.  This is an old soap in old packaging sporting the old name.  It’s rebadged as Black Tie Affair and although the creamy goodness of vanilla and citrus remain, Do. Has added  some dry herb that lends depth to the mix.  He took a great soap and made it fantastic.  I really like the sweetness of An Affair but I finished it off with the current aftershave Black Tie Affair.
