It seems I lean toward esoteric scents. Don’t get me wrong, I like Green Irish Tweed and Aventus which are both great as are many other mainstream scents. Shoot, I own several and choose scents with a wider appeal when an event will have others there. But scents that I really sink my teeth into may be a bit more weird. Chatillon Lux Lamplight Pennance claims the note of a kerosene lamp wick and it is totally there and I love it! Right now I’m on a mountaineering kick. No, I have zero desire to summit Everest or K2 especially at my not too advanced age. It’s fascinating what happened to a human above 8k meters. I don’t suppose the fine folks at Meissner Tremonia have been to the Himalayas but maybe…. At any rate I enjoy the wood and salt in this one. I’ll have to try it with some menthol but I wonder if the minty scent will ruin the picture this one paints for me? At any rate the scent of this one is delightful even if it will never have broad enough appeal to see an EdP of it ever.
