Noble Otter - Orbit

First shave with this company went very well. The scent is aquatic, ala Cool Water by Davidoff. And very nicely done, at that. Quality scent and quality performance. Not sure why it took me so long to buy one of their soaps. Love the cooling in this soap, too. Can't wait to use Lonestar.

I’d be hard pressed to find any part of this soap I don’t like. The fragrance is fresh yet woody, the lather is vegan but builds like tallow, and the performance is just flat out perfect. The razor glides over my skin in a long swoosh, and I don’t feel a thing. But I'll confess to one minor irk – do we really have to bloom this thing with hot water? When the puck was new, that was helpful. But now I’m nearly thirty shaves in, and Stella Alpina seems to load just fine without the scalding pre-soak.

Crsw fragile confusion. I was incredibly surprised by just how much I liked the scent. It’s very reminiscent to me of b&m waves which is exactly what I paired it with a/s wise. Not sure exactly what in it makes it so similar to me as I don’t necessarily see any of the same notes listed?[Image: 5e67b690e4bda8e00f4fbdfbf80996f8.jpg]

Some days everything clicks and a super tight shave ensues!  Tuesday, August 17th was such a day.  I don’t know if it’s humidity, a really good nights sleep, cooling weather, or a perfect mix of water and soap but the stars aligned this morning and WOW!  Meissner Tremonia makes great products and Warm Woods is a fantastic scent.  It is all about the wood to my nose and reminded me of a night in my sons shop when he was twisting a brush handle out of an exotic wood where I caught the scent of the wood dust and a little heat from the high speed steel.

Family vacation this week - my 3 sons and their girlfriends are with us in Crested Butte, CO. We came here in the summers when the boys were young to escape the Texas heat. Fond memories - saw their first moose in the wild, fly fishing, hikes, and a plethora of democrats we don't commonly see in the Lone Star state. .

Bouki and Nero are supplying the soaps for this week's shave unbeknownst to them per their kindness with samples. MdC Agrumes makes a great lather and the scent really pairs well with Myrsol+Mancera Cedrat Boise.

Next up some A&E offerings.
