Fougère v. (Martin de Candre) peppery fougère

Off to a good start in 2021 with one of my favorite soaps. Since the beginning of my shave odyssey, I've gone through several samples of Martin de Candre Fougère. The lather is sublime, the scent is complex without galling. So about this time last year, I realized I always wanted to have this one around, and I sprang for the full 200g jar. In 2020 I used it about once a month, building a full, rich lather every time. This morning, when I put it on the scales, I discovered that it weighs exactly one gram less than it did eleven months ago. The soap is still even with the top of the jar, and the lid still sticks to it when I screw it down tight. I suppose if I used Fougère every day, it would soften and dissolve more quickly; but if I keep up with my current rate of consumption, I will have to add it to the items listed in my last will and testament if I ever hope to have it all turned to lather.
