Stella Alpina v. (Saponificio Varesino) citrus, eucalyptus, woods

Three years have passed since I first lathered this thick puck of Stella Alpina. After twenty-one shaves about two-thirds remain. I’m looking forward to at least another six years of perfect, protective lather. The fragrance is still just as bold, tart, and refreshing as it was in 2016, and I don’t expect it to be fading soon. With a finish as soft as an edelweiss petal, SA is one of the very best soaps I’ve ever used.

I've been thinking of picking up a smokey scented soap. Any idea how this compares to others. Would this be your choice of the options out there (eg. Stirling Texas on Fire, Shannon's LIT, etc.)?

Thanks.
Just sent you a PM

Really, what did you do??

Honestly, it wasn't anything major...just differing viewpoints on a hot-button topic.  By the time I got home, everything was fine.  It was even better after I helped clean the house and get things ready to host Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving! Being as Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday in these United States, it calls for a favorite soap.  DR Harris Arlington got the nod but I find all their flavors to perform about equally well. Harris doesn't seem to get as much time in the sandbox on the forum as it once did and that's a shame.  It's easy to lather and easy to load BUT I need to load it longer to assure I've got enough soap. Do that, and I'm rewarded with a faceful of great mid-structure lather that is super slick and just perfect on cushion.  I don't know why but Harris soaps feel so silky on my hide.  Absolutely love this stuff.  I understand there may have been a reformulation.  Hope not, but I have several tallow backups so......
