That's a very black soap. Thanks for posting the picture. Definitely one I'll want to add to my list.  Smile

Wow! Thanks HoosierShave! The last one looked like hot tar, but this looks like the bottom of my grill after the 4th of July. Very tempting.

Mirto di Sardegna v. (Saponificio Varesino) lime, lavender, myrtle, oak moss, vetiver

The tart lime fragrance of this soap goes nice with the latest lemony version of Eau Sauvage. They both end with a bit of moss and vetiver, and they both wear very well on a hot summer’s day. The lather, of course, is perfect: thick, glossy, slick, and hydrating. And it comes together without any effort. This is a soap I could use for months on end. Among its 35 ingredients is myrtle leaf oil, which SV says is ‘dermopurifying’. Even if it does nothing at all, it still puts a smile on my face when I say that. There’s something lyrical about the word.

Bouki, have you tried the Hawaiian Shave Co soap?  Several of theirs are a dark color.  BTW, I'll be able to report on the scent/lather quality of the Blackfern in about a week or so  Blush

Just a bit of caution Barrister & Mann has a black soap (if you need I will get the name) and it stains natural hair brushes.

Today I chose Smooth Operator Smoked Wood.  Wonderful scent but it faded quickly to just "soapy".  Lathers easy and is not too thirsty.  High structure and slick.  Cushion a tad lacking but not bad.  Post was tight.  Had to run for the Black Tie Razor Co. Balm to sooth my tight cheeks.  I tried to look up info on this maker and found very little.  Out of Greece I think and I didn't find soaps readily available.  Nice to try though.
