What soap/cream did you use today?

If you are talking about the green cream called "GFT" I used a sample of it several years ago and had no problems.

No... sorry for the confusion.
I'm referring to Trumper soaps, any scent (... not their creams, which do lather with no problems).
Their soaps are barely good for the shower.

I can't help you there because I have never used a GF Trumper soap.

Yes, there was that rumor going around that this lathered as well as GFT soaps.
Not sure if there are multiple formulations or not.

I assume GFT is Geo. F. Trumper, another tippled milled soap.  Most of the hard soaps from Great Britain are tippled milled.  In addition, from what I have learned that most if not all of these soaps are made in a third party factory and not the company that markets them.  Another one that has a bad reputation is Mitchels Wool Fat; another soap I have not had trouble getting a great lather.

This is a great performing soft soap. It is worthy of being in my top15. I can not compare it to a cologne that I am aware of but my wife likes it.

Grooming Dept After the Fire (tallow & duck)

As with many Barrister and Mann scents, Rhapsody is polar. I really like it. My eldest son cannot stand it. Don't know if that matters though as this one has been discontinued. The scent is a bold 8/10 and does not let up during the shave. This soap is decidedly floral with pear, Apple, and cherry blossoms up front and spices and wood in the background. I cannot tell one blossom scent from the other with the exception of the pear. I know what each smells like as I grew up with several of each of these trees. Pear is sweet and heavy but the spice and wood tone it down. Any way you slice it, Rhapsody smells like spring to me and it'll be in my rotation until the end of April or mid May. No surprises on the lather. It's awesome. Scent doesn't persist too much after the shave so no real concern when choosing your fragrance. Packaging label is bright and inviting.

Ariana & Evans - Asian Plum

Fresh Rosemary t. (Le Père Lucien) lemon, lavender, rosemary

More lavender than rosemary, this limited edition LPL soap nevertheless smells nice and is ideal for early Spring. The lemon comes through in the lather, though the rosemary is surprisingly quiet. If you've ever smelled LPL's Traditionnel, you know Cyril's not afraid of pungent, rich, aromatic soap. This Fresh Rosemary, though, is very mild and in that respect a bit of a disappointment to me. My wife calls it serene. She's brilliant at putting a good spin on things.

While the fragrance is pale, the soap is robust. With a big dollop of tallow in its heart, it whips up a dense, thick lather. Think marshmallows. I reached for my Rockwell, since I didn't think the lissome Baby Soft I normally use with LPL soaps had the heft to plow through Rosemary's stiff lather. The soap's larded with Shea butter, too, so the finish is plum.

YourShaving.com seems to have commissioned the soap, and, as far as I can tell, they're its only vendor. Unlike most other LPL soaps, Fresh Rosemary comes in a clear PET container.
