In keeping with a French theme I broke out the Pre de Provence 63. Although I like the sage soap better, this one is a keeper too. Lather is high volume vs ropey but slick and protective. It's easy to build lather off this triple milled hard puck. Scent strength is just like its brother, 5 to 6 of 10. The scent, well now that's a tough one because some nose went to work building this one. I love the smell but had to go to their website to get the notes. Peppery citrus, cedar, violet, leather, Amber, plum, tobacco. They threw the whole palette at it. I personally get the pepper, wood, plum, but however it all fits together my nose likes it just fine. The scent, unlike the sage does fade during the shave and that is too bad. It's still present throughout but not as much as the loading up. This is a very predictable and forgiving soap. Packaging is pretty awesome too.

I use this 8-10 times a year in the fall /winter. Doesn't seem like much, but my rotation is out of control - and I admit to saving this for "special days". So glad you guys use it as I hope PdP keeps making it per user demand!

Somali Rose t. (Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations) ★★★★☆ spicy rose
Along with the spice and rose there's a layer of cocoa here that reminds me of fine French pastries. In fact, I think Lisa must like to bake a lot, so many of her soaps smell like they've just come from the kitchen. Sweet and spicy, they can be quite appetizing, but they can also become cloying when they're smeared all over a hot face. If it were served in a gilt platter, this soap could earn a Michelin star for its fragrance alone. But is wedding cake really what my wife wants me to smell like all morning?
The soap itself is very soft and makes a thick yogurty lather. The shave was perfect, and the finish was as rich as chocolate ganache.
Just 82 more samples to go.

Soap Commander - Vision
Don't use Soap Commander nearly enough. A very underrated product or at least they don't seem to get the press they deserve on the forums.
