Does anybody make a modern open comb SE razor that takes half DE blades?

I think that I asked this once before but I can't find the answer.

Thanks.

If by “caught” you mean “commended”, then I agree with you Dave in KY.  At least that was my intention. I remember at the time thinking It took imagination and skill to repurpose that DE into an SE.  At least I never saw that before (or since).  Happy2  Happy2

Yeah. What is it?

It's called a sHaDE Razor SE-Half-a-DE ? A modified DE which lots of others have done as well. Mine started as a Gillette English OC Raised Flat Bottom that had broken teeth on 1 side. Some grinding, sanding etc work done by me and then sent out to BRG for a Bright Nickel Finish and a Razorock Handle and I have a razor like you are describing. It shaves amazing like the RFB's are known for, you just only get one side instead of 2 to shave with and rinse.

Well Dave, I guess all you need now is a CNC mill and you can make us all happy!

I took your comment as a compliment and appreciate it. I'm probably not the first to have done it and have seen several others that have done it before, just not on this site. Thanks Mike
