I just love Floid. It is getting hard to find.
I am most likely to reach for the Floid Gel (Citrus or Vetyver) when I'm in a rush. Its brushless simplicity makes it a good candidate for travel too, although I wish they would offer it in a smaller size for travel purposes. In either case, the fact that it is brushless saves a lot of time - no brush soaking, loading, or cleanup - and its slickness and protection are excellent. Those are its strengths IMO. OTOH the scents, while pleasant, and the post, while acceptable, do not measure up to the best brush-built lathers IMO.
Finally, I don't know if this helps, @Tedolf, but here in the USA, you can find the Floid Gels at Maggard Razors and sometime on Amazon Prime.
Thanks for the information
HighSpeed . I was primarily referring to the Floid aftershave, which as I stated, is getting hard to find especially in the smaller bottle. As for the shave gels, I have had very bad experiences with brushless shave creams and shave oils which I have experimented with for travel. Cremo being the biggest dissapointment. It has the largest gap between hype/ favorable reviews and horrible performance. I am trying hard to get rid of what I have now. So, it may be that Floid shave gel is OK. I certainly trust your judgement. If it came in a travel size I would probably give it a try.
