34th shave with the IBC. First time shaving with this razor in four years. I stopped using it once I figured I preferred AC blade format. My technique has improved quite a bit since that last IBC shave. First time using it with this blade. Though I prefer to have jimps to have a more sure grip, I had no slippage and did not use alum to increase the grip. I also prefer a longer tail, but with three fingers on the tang and one on the tail, it worked fine. The IBC is a nice, light razor that will give pretty shallow angle. I had one minor nick in the cheek to mustache transition area. I also had some razor burn in mustache area which I am sure that is an angle thing plus the last shave on this blade. I unscrewed the thumb knob a little and rinsed water in the holder to remove any potential stiction. I did that with the sink stopper closed just in case I unscrewed too far (so no washer parts would go down the sink). That caused the sliding portion of the blade holder to slide open (which helped with rinsing). I still am not sure of the leather case that comes with the razor as the back of the snap is exposed and could potentially scratch the razor but maybe it is sunk in enough not to be an issue. Overall a great shave considering it was almost four years ago since my last shave with it!
