Thanks for the info.  I started off with the Maggards 24 mm with the purple handle around 4 months ago.  Love it.  Then I made an IB purchase and picked up the Plissoft  Monster and the Plissoft with the Bruce handle.   Everything changed for me with the Maggards brush.  Prior to that I was mostly using the Omega 10066 and 10098.  Since I got the synthetics I think I have only used them once.  The Marggards 24 and the RR Monster are neck and neck for first place.  Will have to try Maggards big boy when I order from them next time.  I've never tried a badger brush but I think I would have to spend quite a bit to exceed these synthetics and the prices are just to good to pass up.  My lather improved instantly once I started using them and I've always had enough lather at the end.  

I haven't used either of the ones you mentioned.  This one is brand new from Maggard.  It's a beast.  I really like it.  I moved to synthetic because most of the natural fibers come from China's fur trade, which I don't trust.

I've been very, very pleased.  As a whole, I like all of the Maggard synthetic shaving brushes, I have all models, better than my small but really nice badger or my boar.

The bristles are so very soft on my face, much softer than the badger.  

I've noticed on the Maggard synthetic that you don't want to much water in the bristles toward the handle or water will drip on your chest.  

I highly recommend the Maggard synthetic brushes.  The handles look like nice acrylic to me.  They call them resin...not sure of the difference.  The one I referenced looks like a work of art.

I would definitely suggest one of the Maggard big boys. That's my favorite brush.

I have a Vulfix 660 Super Badger. It isn't top of the line but isn't junk either.

Based on my experience so far, there are advantages to the synthetics and the badger.

The synthetics are much, much softer. They feel like smooth velvet gliding over my face.

The badger isn't as soft, but holds water better. The synthetics will drip water on my chest if I fail to keep water out of the bristles near the handle.

If I had to choose one or the other I would go with the synthetic, my favorite of those being the largest Maggard.

Also, the way animals are treated matters to me. I'm not extreme and eat meat every day. Having said that, natural bristles other than horse come from China, which has a horrible record for the way animals are treated.
