What SB did you use today?

Paladin 26mm "PK-47" Select 2-Band Badger Brush in "Juma Ember"

Today I used the synthetic knot of the Tatara Muramasa changeable/adjustable brush. I did not like it at all. I use it at 3 and a bit towards the 2 setting.

The fibers are quite springy and it has also a distinctive scritch, I never have observed this in any other of my synthetic brushes.

As it is known here, I am not a big fan of synthetics, and compare them always to the two I do really like: a Muehle STF 25 mm knot in one of my handles and the Wald A1. This synthetic is not even close to the two.

The badger knot was the much better one of the two, and would be my personal choice.

The principle of a brush that offers a variety of knot options and also the idea of adjusting the loft to one the user likes is very new and also unique. If I were in the situation to look for such a brush type, this would be my choice. One great thing of the system is that it holds heat very well.
