Sawdust Creations handle with a 26mm Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Roswell Grey Hybrid Knot.

The handle is beautiful, and the knot looks goooood in it. Unfortunately, looks are where the fun stops. This knot, that is supposedly the same on the StarCraft does not feel the same to my best recollection. It's scritchy and irritating and very much more similar to a broom than a "badger with gel tips". I believe I'll need to get a new knot soon, to my dismay. It definitely does not live up to what I remember from PAA knots.

I think that is the only product from PAA I have not tried yet is a brush. They do seem to be reviewed favorably and seem like a good value for the cost. I have personally come to like the Sovereign Fibers on my Simpson brushes and the AK7 knot I got from AKA Brushwork so far has been enjoyable. I have to spend more time with it but for a $16.99 knot, I like it. I know apshaveco offers a nice range of synthetic knots for pretty nice prices in my opinion.

Ooh yeah, AP has some good knots. I have a few in my collection.

I just picked up, a few minutes ago, an AP Pure Bliss as well as a TNS Quartermoon from a really nice member. One of the two will fix the issue. If I turn out to love both, I'll probably swap both PAA knots I got. The other is slightly less scritchy, but still not in my wheelhouse.

It just bothers me that i tried this knot in the past and it wasn't like this. Ooh well, I guess things change.
