OUMO Eternal handle w/ Sparrow 27mm knot

First use of latest SB purchased. Looks amazing! This has very soft tips and strong backbone. Maybe a bit too much backbone? Feels like the knot it really deep in the handle, almost no splay.

My experience too. Set one at their recommended loft and it is horrible, no splay at all. The second I set as high as possible, splays better, but still not a brush I would recommend. For me nothing yet in the synthetic knot field beats the Muehle STF knot. Hope my Wald shows up soon.....

Sounds like the knot may be set too low for your liking (unless it's just a naturally springy knot)? I personally prefer a fairly easy splay - APSC Synbad or 2BED knots.

Nonetheless, that handle looks amazing. Oumo really outdid themselves there.

Zenith makes some nice Boar brushes. Definitely an appropriate tool to whip MWF into submission. Tough soap, tougher brush. Lol.

Additionally, If you haven't tried it yet, the newish Maggards Boar knot (came out later last year, I believe) is phenomenal IMO.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check them out. I currently have a Semogue SOC Premium Boar Taj handle brush en route.

Ooh, Semogue is also fantastic. In fact, I liked it better than Zenith. I like a more broke in, softer knot and Semogue (to me) felt better 'out of the gate'. They all split and wear and become soft in the end, though.

Hope you like the Semogue. Please share your thoughts when it arrives and gets a proper workout.

Good to know. Visually and quality of build for the OUMO are amazing, but I feel like the knot treatment could be a bit better. I will probably give them another try with a badger knot to see how it goes.

My guess is the same, knot too low. But that is not something I can really fix, so there is that.
