Picked up a beat-up Peerless brush in Texas over a year ago. It was hammer trashed. The body was chipped in half a dozen places. The ferrule looked like it took a direct hit from a shotgun. I liked the shape though and was curious if I could bring it back to life. After starting with some seriously coarse sandpaper and progressing down through to 1k grit, the old girl looked pretty stinking good again but the plastic was scary thin in several spots. After opening the socket up for a 26 mm knot I filled the hollow handle with a mix of epoxy and sand to both reinforce the plastic and add a pleasing weight to the handle. I put a Maggard Badger/boar mixed knot in it and wow, I am glad I gave this baby a second lease on life. Great brush and I think it looks awesome. [Image: ATd9EDd.jpg]
