Just got this beauty with the hooked tips from a good fellow member here. Wonderfully soft knot with a moderate backbone and perfect flow-through

Before I used it I was pretty sure these had to be from the same supplier. After a few uses however, I'm not so sure anymore. This one seems to be a little springier and not as soft. Maybe it has to do with the size difference (26mm as opposed to 24mm) IDK.
Haven’t used a Maggard knot, but the loft could also be a culprit. A while ago, I got a brush with a 24 mm Tuxedo knot that is supposed to be authentic, yet it feels nowhere near as nice as my original 24 mm Tuxedo. Since the manufacturer has assured me that the knot is an authentic Tuxedo, the only factor I can think of that would make it inferior is its lower loft.

I thought of this too when I had it set lower, but now it's pretty much as high as it can be and it still has that springy feeling. It just doesn't splay as nice as my original Tuxedo.
