Thanks, Dan. I really know nothing about the brush. My friend in Scotland, knowing my love of wet shaving (she was with me when I purchased my first brush and soap) gave this to me after her husband passed away. It was his and, according to my friend, he used it when he had time for a relaxing wet shave.
